"Can't wait until next year..."
I am a breast cancer survivor and started treating myself to what has become my annual visit to Gloucester for the last 8-9 years (usually during October, Breast cancer awareness month). Every time I went I stayed at the Atlantis and never wanted to go home when my stay was over. Many times when I was suppose to check out, I asked to stay longer and they would accommodate me, even if it meant I had to stay in a different room since mine was promised to someone else...but even then, the staff were nice enough to have all my things taken to the other room.
The view from every room is spectacular and I especially like looking out the window when I wake up in the wee hours of the morning and see fishing boats in the ocean right in front of me.
I can't say enough about the staff and the cleanliness of the rooms. I only wish they were open all year round.

"Hail Atlantis!"
We had the good fortune to be guests at this wonderful hotel. We arrived on Sunday 10/11/09 and stayed through Thursday. Our room was immaculate, beautifully appointed, warm, inviting and afforded us a view of the ocean in all it’s glory! The balcony was a great place to read and take in the scenery, even on a cool sunny day! The in-room coffee pot and coffee were top notch. The entire staff could not have been more helpful and professional. The breakfasts were amazing (my favorite- blueberry wheat pancakes!) and served in a room full of light with an ocean view. In the evening, the fresh chocolate chip cookies drew us in every time! This was a stay that lived up to all our expectations and then some! We would recommend The Atlantis to anyone looking for a great get away! There is plenty to do close by (Rockport, Salem, Newburyport, Gloucester, do visit the Ryan & Wood Distillery!), great path along the ocean for walking… This was a perfect time to visit! The colors were at their peak!!
Our picks for dining: Gloucester- Topside Grill, La Tratorria.; Manchester-The Landing; Rockport-The Greenery. All had great food, great atmosphere and very reasonably priced!

“Everything Perfect!”
Loved my time at the Atlantis! View of the twin lighthouses was awesome and you could watch the sunrise over the sea if you wanted to get up early and sit out on the balcony. The room was spotless and came with a fridge which was nice. Nice walking, jogging sidewalk out front along the ocean was popular with locals and guests. Not far from a great beach and there are many places to kayak on the Cape as well. I also enjoyed the breakfast restaurant, the food and service were wonderful. I would go back and stay longer if I could!

“Outstanding Inn on the Atlantic!”
After contemplating several inns and motels in Gloucester, Ma, I chose the Atlantis based on the reviews I read here and other Internet travel sites. I was certainly not disappointed! We stayed at the Atlantis with our 12 year old son the first week in June. This motel is by far the most well-kept, clean and beautifully maintained place I have ever stayed. I'd guess the rooms were recently remodeled as there wasn't one sign of wear and and tear on the bedding, furniture or fixtures. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had a spectacular ocean view. Our double room featured 2 double beds (not queens) a small table and 2 chairs and an entertainment center that housed a small fridge and storage for clothing, etc. The room has a large closet as well - bring hangars though. Only 4 hangars were provided. The room had a small flat screen tv with cable access. DVD players can be borrowed from the front desk at no charge. The only real issue with the room was the bathroom which was very tiny and did not contain a bathtub. Shower stall only. There is also no room to store toiletries and such in the bathroom as there is no vanity top. This is by no means a real problem, just something to consider if multiple people are staying in the room. Each room has a semi-private balcony with a window and door that allows you to enjoy the ocean breeze and sounds of the surf. The balcony has 2 deck chairs and a table. The outdoor pool is heated and very well maintained. There's plenty of deck chairs and chaise loungers. The hosts at the front desk are super accommodating and very friendly. The front desk has menus from many area restaurants and the staff is happy to make recommendations. Discount parking passes for nearby (walking distance) Good Harbor Beach are also available at the front desk. Stop by in the afternoon for warm cookies too! I'd recommend the Atlantis to anyone and would certainly return if I had the chance. You won't be disappointed!

“Restful by the Sea”
My husband and I spent our 24th anniversary here. It was our first visit and loved it so much, we booked a week for the upcoming summer. We had a top floor king room, which was quite roomy. Rooms have been updated including flat screen T.V.'s and refrigerators. The bed was incredibly comfortable. Loved the private terrace outside of our room and watched the sunrise each morning. It is obvious the staff takes pride in their work; the room was immaculate during our entire stay. We enjoyed the breakfasts at the hotel restaurant and found the prices to be appropriate for fresh, homemade meals. Sunday breakfast offerings are extra special. The staff is professional and very helpful with directions to anywhere in Cape Ann. Loved the fresh baked chocolate cookies in the office every day. After running around all day, it was nice to come back to some quiet and relaxation.
