Beauport, Sleeper-McCann House
The summer home of Henry Davis Sleeper, an interior designer and collector who began building his retreat in 1907. The house grew to 40 rooms filled with a collection that includes period furniture, colored glass, ceramics and curiosities. Open June thru October, with guided tours 10am to 5pm Tuesday – Saturday.

Cape Ann Museum
View artwork by some of Cape Ann’s most prestigious artists, including Fitz Henry Lane, Maurice Prendergast, John Sloan, Milton Avery, Stuart Davis and others. It also features fisheries, maritime and granite quarrying galleries, a sculpture garden and two historic homes.

Essex Shipbuilding Museum
Lectures, exhibits, demonstrations of traditional boatbuilding history and methods. The museum collection has 8000 objects and over 3000 photographs that embody Essex’s shipbuilding history.

Gloucester Maritime Heritage Center
The only working historic waterfront in the Northeast that combines a working marine railway with a Gulf of Maine aquarium. It also features ongoing boat construction and educational exhibits and programs.

Donald Mosher Gallery
Don Mosher’s style is reminiscent of early Cape Ann artists Emile Gruppe, Eldro Hibbard and the Mulhaupts. Visual excitement and freshness are always present in his work. Visit the gallery that he shares with his artist wife, Christine located on Main Street in the famed art colony of Rockport.

North Shore Arts Association
Established in 1922, the Association has an artist membership of 400 artists, recognized nationally and worldwide. Workshops, classes, lectures, auctions and exhibits are offered May- October.

Rockport Art Association
In 1921, a small group of artists attracted by the beauty and hospitality of Rockport, founded the Rockport Art Association in the studio of the late Aldro T. Hibbard, NA. The RAA was established as an artist cooperative and social gathering place for artists and art lovers.

Rocky Neck Art Colony
Since the turn of the century, the Rocky Neck Art Colony has been at the center of our nation’s art history. Today, over 30 working artists display their work in Rocky Neck galleries and studios.  In addition to the galleries, area restaurants provide gourmet cuisine, waterfront views, and eclectic atmosphere.

Sargent House Museum
1782 home of Judith Sargent-Murray. The museum is a fine example of high-style Georgian domestic architecture. Open June thru October, Friday thru Monday noon to 4 pm.

The Whale Center of New England
Stand next to the skeleton of a humpback whale. Learn about marine mammal biology, research techniques and conservation. Free admission. Open year-round.
