Good Harbor Beach
One of the most popular beaches in New England, Good Harbor Beach is located on Route 127A in Gloucester, only a half mile from the Inn. A barrier beach with a rocky shore and salt marsh protected by sand dunes, Good Harbor’s picturesque setting makes it a favorite among travelers and locals.
Long Beach is located off Route 127A, running across the Gloucester/Rockport line. This protected stretch of ocean and sand also offers a beautiful view of the twin lighthouses on Thacher's Island.
Niles Beach, on East Main Street, offers a view of Boston in the distance as well as of the mansions on Gloucester's Eastern Point. Niles Beach is the perfect destination for the vacationer who wants the perfect swimming, sunbathing, scuba diving beach without all of the crowds. This beach is sticker parking only.
Another popular destination, Wingaersheek Beach is surrounded by Ipswich Bay, the Annisquam River and sand dunes. This beautiful setting includes a view north to the New Hampshire shoreline.
Half Moon Beach
Facing Gloucester Harbor, this small, sandy beach is ideal for swimming. Surrounded by park space, it is easy to escape the sun and watch an array of fishing and sailboats in the distance.
